Our Director Clare Cooke attended the Women in Construction and the Built Environment Careers Showcase on Thursday 26 April at the Academy of Sport, Llandarcy. The event attracted over 200 female pupils from schools in the area introducing them to the opportunities a career in construction and the built environment could offer them.
Clare was representing women in civil and structural engineering. Using Revit models used on current projects 3D visuals were shown to the students giving them an understanding of how we approach design. The students then created their own structures using interlocking straws. We saw some great structures. Some were building high rise; some following the plans we have produced; whilst others used their imagination and opted for a structural dress.
The day was a huge success and we would like to thank Morganstone for inviting us to be a part of it.
