Care Home First In Wales To Win Knight Frank Luxury Care Home Award

We are delighted to announce one of our projects, Foxhunter Care Community in Abergavenny was awarded with the Frank Luxury Care Home Award on 3rd October 2019. This prestigious award which recognises excellence in care homes across the UK, was announced at the Health & Senior Property dinner at the Marriott Hotel, London. The impressive accolade takes into consideration the design, innovation, interior and facilities of luxury care homes, with finalists and winners featuring in the annual Luxury Care Guide which is due to be published next year. The South Wales care home, which officially opened its doors in November 2018, was handpicked by a panel of four judges after touring contenders up and down the country. Rougemont School, Newport

Intrado were appointed and civil and structural engineers for the £3.5 million 600 seater Auditorium, Refectory and Sixth Form Centre with roof terrace.  The new build will also feature additional teaching and co-curricular facilities.   The steel frame was designed to suit the architectural intent for the scheme.  This was achieved with a braced steel frame with long span castellated beam to accommodate the large double storey auditorium. Women In Construction and the Built Environment – Careers Showcase

Our Director Clare Cooke attended the Women in Construction and the Built Environment Careers Showcase on Thursday 26 April at the Academy of Sport, Llandarcy. The event attracted over 200 female pupils from schools in the area introducing them to the opportunities a career in construction and the built environment could offer them. Clare was representing women in civil and structural engineering. Using Revit models used on current projects 3D visuals were shown to the students giving them an understanding of how we approach design. The students then created their own structures using interlocking straws. We saw some great structures. Some were building high rise; some following the plans we have produced; whilst others used their imagination and opted for a structural dress. The day...
